Drapia - back in the village of Caria, after 50 years the ancient Feast of the Rosary to be celebrated next Sunday. The ancient tradition has been restored through the efforts of the parish priest Don Giuseppe Furchì and attachment to its history by the cultural Caries Theatre Company. After three days of preparation, which began yesterday evening, the culmination of the festival will be reached on Sunday 17 with the release of the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Church (dedicated to her and to Jesus the Saviour). Will follow immediately after Mass in Piazza Cavour and then the procession through the principal streets of the country with the singing of the Litany in places Casalvecchio. For the occasion, all the balconies and windows of houses will be festively decorated. In the afternoon, popular games and treasure hunt, a day which will end in Piazza Cavour 21, when you can watch the play from the catchy title: "a pigula ciangiu eu previti Novu mancu came about subitu sindiu" presented by the theater company Caries. During the evening there will be a distribution of typical desserts prepared by local women for devotion to the Virgin. The festival is dedicated to elderly people of Caria which had often expressed the wish that was restored a tradition of their youth and those early 50's that followed the end of the war and the beginning of a process of reconstruction in our country was characterized by the phenomenon emigration. Now in respect of that ancient devotion, theatrical association and the parish wanted to reopen the history books and read a page that belongs to all Caries. A page that had been covered by the dust of time and that Sunday will be relived from any population center, with the emotions of that time and with a silent prayer to Our Lady of the Rosary to bring a little peace in a world that seems to have lost sense of man.
